Art Glass Process Name and Classification Standard
China's art glass industry can be divided into three categories: comprehensive production, cold processing and hot processing. Among them, cold processing can be subdivided into 10 categories, while hot processing can be subdivided into 9 categories.
I. Comprehensive Production of Art Glass
II. Cold Processing of Art Glass
1. Mosaic glass (traditional mosaic, British mosaic, metal welding mosaic);
2. Chemical etching (pattern frosting, Silk-print pattern frosting, concave pattern, chemical ice, physical ice);
3. Tool engraving (grinding wheel, bar engraving, crystal steel engraving knife, mechanical turning flower);
4. Sandblasting carving (hand-engraved offset paper mask, machine-engraved offset paper mask, photolithography mask, paint texture mask);
5. Laser engraving (computer controlled laser engraving);
6. Cutting modeling (knife cutting, water cutting);
7. Adhesion Modeling (Plane Adhesion, Space Adhesion, Colored Glass or Adhesive Film Adhesion, Colored Bead/Sand/Bar/Parts Adhesion, Multi-layer Overlay Adhesion, Gold Adhesion);
8. Glass vertical sculpture (vertical stacking, vertical lacquer relief sculpture);
9. Painting (airbrush painting, brush painting, silk printing, polycrystalline);
10. Interlayer (En film interlayer: flower cloth, flower paper, color film, wire mesh, etc.);
3. Hot Processing of Art Glass
1. Blown (after dipping glass beads in pipes: artificial steel/machine-made steel mold blowing, artificial free-form: blow-pull, roll-fall, stick-cut);
2. Cast casting (forming glass by hydraulic pouring or flowing into mould: such as steel die-casting glass brick, hand-casting color glass brick, plane casting art glass, wax-loss precision casting/glaze workshop);
3. Pressing (the glass liquid is drawn out and embossed with rolled gong or embossed with coloured texture and bottom lines: such as machine embossed art glass, hand embossed art glass, machine-made glass mosaic, etc.);
4. sintering (to form high temperature sintered glass powder in mold, such as foam glass or glass-ceramic mold).
5. Fusing (Fusing glass to liquid glass and condensation under surface tension: such as fused glass beads, glass ornaments and glass crafts, etc.);
6. Enamel (use high temperature glaze to colour or paint on glass surface: such as coloured glaze glass, coloured glaze painting);
7. Overburning (burning and gluing laminated glass into one body: such as overlapping melting, overlapping firing, clamping wire/piece);
8. Hot-melt Sagging (melting flat glass and sinking into moulding: for example, most products of "hot-melt glass" in China at present);
9. Hot bending Slumping.
